Dry Creek Beds

A dry creek bed is a stone lined stream bed that mimics a natural stream without water. They often look like a natural part of the landscape. If you are losing mulch and topsoil, ruts are created in your yard in a downpour, or water sits in one place and becomes stagnant, constructing these dry creek beds can alleviate drainage problems or redirect water run off to prevent erosion. The bottoms of the creek bed are usually lined with a rubber liner.
